Off the air, on the line
This story was a challenge for my co-writer and me. We went through multiple rounds of revisions and edits and resends, each edits more demanding than the last. We had to reschedule for countless interviews, and we even had to get an interview halfway through writing the article. Our article may not have appeared in the magazine, but getting it published online was still an achievement. Through writing and editing this article, I've learned that despite setbacks I can still get a result that I am proud of.
MVHS students meet for their annual Homecoming Rally
This was my first time ever covering the Homecoming rally, or any Homecoming event for that matter. And as HoCo week started I realized how intense it was. People were trying to push through all edits, for both a social media post and an online story, and you had to get it up on the day of the event. So when I had to cover the HoCo rally, the stress and urgency had me working from 3:30 to 9:00 at night with no breaks. Not only does this article show dedication, but it also shows that I was able to find my away around problems for I had to work on this during school but the wifi would not work.

Parasocialism in reality TV
When I was writing my article for 'Parasocialism in reality TV', I wanted to approach it with a fresh and critical view. It examines how reality TV shapes our understanding of love, relationships, and social values, while digging into the motives behind the audience-trapping headlines. By connecting the themes of parasocial attachment and prominent people in youth conversation and lives, this article shows that information and journalism helps find new angles and helps us question what we take for granted.
‘KARMA’ is an electric album that celebrates Stray Kids’ achievements
When I decided to review the Stray Kids album KARMA, I wrote it with the idea to represent student journalism and being able to take a fresh, personal angle on a major culture-rich release, showing that music can resonate with younger audiences while offering thoughtful critiques. This review analyzes the artistry and impact of the album, approaching the album with a unique perspective — approaching a global phenomenon with authenticity, creativity, and a new lens.

KQED cuts employees and scales back programs following executive order
I was sitting on the couch when I learned that there were cuts made to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funded all the shows I watched as a kid. I thought I was the only one, especially in people my age, that shared these worries. But throughout many conversations and interviews I realized that this was something that heavily affected people, including kids my age. I was able to bring light to a topic that has an effect on kids growing up and how people get news in day to day life.
